Great explanation / Not politically correct or watered down I was searching for a book that would describe the reasons for Texas independence. I grew up learning about what happened etc but nobody taught why. I was not interested in a modern watered down politically correct version but was looking for something written by someone during the timeframe. I ran across this and was excited it was a free download. It is exactly what I was looking for. If youre looking for a modern politically correct discussion then look elsewhere. But if you want to know why Texas needed to win her independence from a tyrannical government from someone who lived during the timeframe then this is well worth reading.
utterly facinating Being a Texas native and interested in everything Texas, this book opened my eyes to events that I had never heard of. I would recomment this book to anyone wanting to learn the facts of the movement of immigrants from Germany to texas.
