Guadalupe Mountains National Park Historic Resource Study

This study, authored by an employee of the National Park Service, outlines the events and locations in the park that have historical significance. Areas and events covered include the fossil reef, native Americans, the Spanish occupation, the early American pioneers, railroads, the Butterfield Stage Line, the Salt War, and the warfare between the Native Americans and pioneers, Texas Rangers and U.S. Cavalry.
